Haha, I love the pictures of Oggie jumping all over Zaphod. Zaphod looks like he's thinking, "Get this thing off me. Now." :P The bath pictures are great too. Furry dogs look so tiny when you bathe them and all of their fur flattens.

Jude is half Shih-Tzu, but luckily his face isn't very flat because of the Cairn Terrier half of him. He sounds a lot like Oggie otherwise, though. I've become used to him following me around everywhere. Half the time I don't even notice it, and he's kind of learned to follow behind us and not get under our feet. Sometimes he's too tired or lazy to follow us around, though, especially at night when it's close to bedtime. :P He'll lift his head to see where we're going, but that's the most effort he'll make.

It's nice to have some change around the house now and then. But at the end of the day, going back to your normal life is nice too. I had that experience when I went home for Christmas. I was excited because I was going to get to spend some time with my nephews, but at the end of the week I couldn't wait to get back to my nice quiet, clean home.

I have two toy dogs, which is perfect because when they were puppies they would wear each other out by running around the house all the time. Now that they are older, they keep each other company whenever I have to leave the house. It's perfect :D

"Zaphod is sweet and all, but cuddling with him is like hugging a kitchen chair." - hahahahahaha!

Oggy sounds like the sort of dog that is great for children to have, they can wear each other out. For me I think it would be great to have Oggy for like a day, and then give him back.

My recommendation then would be to look at a Schnauzer. They are small enough to cuddle, weather bearing, you don't have to bathe them (a huge plus) very little grooming, a miniature is about 25 pounds max, plus they are very friendly. They do talk though. It is a woo-woo sound. I don't know if a full sized Schnauzer talks but I know the miniatures do. They also love going outside & they are very very friendly. I love my Mac-Baby & I wouldn't trade him for the world.

The reason he was following you around is because he was curious to see what you were doing & also just in case you decided that you needed to pet something he wanted to be sure he was available. :yay:
