Me!

Hello you! *waves*
My name is Karin and I live in a small town in the north of Sweden. And no, we don’t have polar bears roaming the streets. A few reindeer maybe, but no polar bears. It’s amazing how many people actually ask me about that :P

I share a tiny little house with my boyfriend Markus. We met in 2006 when we both started the same education program. At first we were just good friends but after a while we figured out it was much more to it than that. We have been a couple since June 2007 and got engaged in February 2012.
Since I’m a huge animal lover and can’t imagine a life without pets the house is also inhabited by a dog, a snake, and a cat.

I work at an advertising agency doing web related stuff and occasionally they ask me to draw something. Most of my time is wasted in front of the computer. Partly because it’s my work tool, partly because I’m hopelessly addicted to it and spend a lot of time making pixelart, poking around with my websites or just surfing aimlessly around the net.
I also love to read (both books and comics) and playing video games. I listen to a lot of (metal) music and like watching TV and movies. All my favourite things are listed at my fanlisting collective.

But, as a counterweight to all that couch-sitting, I also love being outdoors.
I’m often found (or maybe lost?) deep in the woods exploring the hidden corners of the world with my dog. Nature is my drug, I get anxious and moody if I don’t get my daily dose. I think I’ve explored every single centimetre of the forest here and as a result of my wanderlust I’ve seen many beautiful hidden places out there that others have missed.

I daydream all the time, sometimes I’m afraid I spend more time inside my own head than out in the real world. I’m also a scatterbrain who lives in a constant state of organised chaos. I’ve been told that I, just like my dad, have a typical “artist personality”. I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or an insult though ;)
