Schenza sketch

Schenza

This is Schenza, a character I made up when I was little. Not as an imaginary friend but more like a muse, in lack of better words. I probably have made up a million little stories about her and whenever I’m asked to make a character in games and such I make her. If I was into role-playing I’d play her all the time. I used her name as my online alias when I was a teenager.
But I’ve never been able to draw her, every attempt has failed. I have no “artistic feeling” for human anatomy so I find it difficult drawing faces and characteristic features. And I have a clear vision of what she looks like, so I get frustrated when I can’t translate the image in my head to the paper. Until now!

I was just sketching random stuff while watching tv and all of a sudden this appeared, and it is her! This is Schenza, this is what she looks like :D
Now I’m just afraid to do anything with it because I’m certain that I will ruin it if I try tracing it and adding colours and such…

Anyone else have a character like this, following you around in your head? Or am I just crazy? *LOL*

You call that being bad at human anatomy?! You must be more skilleded with human anatomy than you think because the drawing is great! :)

Omigosh that’s so cool!!!! I love her! I also love how distinct her nose is. It seems every character you see has a cute little button nose, big dinner-plate eyes, and luscious lips. Typical. But Schenza is actually really unique-looking!! Good job. <3 :D

I totally know what'cha mean by the way; Vigana has been my text RP and LARP character for forever. She is now one of the lead characters in my webcomic, Wayward Fall. ^_^ I have done a lot with her. <3

Maybe you could expand upon this character as well, and even post some of your stories…? I'd love to see!

She’s stunning!! Really really lovely!

I have a character in my head like that too! So you’re not alone. I call her my inner Superhero and for years and years I didn’t know how to draw her (i kept trying to make her human). Once I realized my inner super hero was a cat, it all came together and Vandessa was finally brought to life! Tee hee! ;)

I really love your emoticons by the way!

Thanks for the nice comments  I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one with other people running around in my head :P

@ Taversia – Her nose is my fav part too! And the part I’ve struggled most with :P I’ve noticed the cutesy character thing too, I guess it’s real easy making a character sweet and pretty, especially girls. It’s not even a concious decision, it just seem to happen.

@ Christine – Aww, that’s so sweet :D I kinda figured Van is your special character, she seem to show up everywhere around you, not just in the comic ;)
